We can’t take credit on staff for this — the PX Game Club is the work of PeaceSalad, ralphdibny, Balta666 and the rest of the contributors over at the Pure Xbox forums, who have established a community that meets up every month to play a game on Xbox Game Pass and share their experiences. Games are voted on every month by the contributors involved.

Road 96, I quite enjoyed my playthrough and seeing the character development (not a lot mind) between runs.

The game did outstay its welcome a little bit and would have benefited from more character development from the point of view of the teens – they are just faceless avatars so it was hard putting myself in their shoes for some of the choices.

Overall it was a linear if somewhat enjoyable road trip.

I finished Road 96. In many ways I don’t think it’s a very good game, the graphics are basic, the writing and voice acting are average at best, and the little gameplay there is is overly simple… and yet there is something about it that kept me playing to the end. It’s a game that is better than the the sum of it’s parts.
