Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition priced at $70, performance/quality mode details, cross-progression confirmed
Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition was announced for Nintendo Switch 2 yesterday, and it’ll be day-and-date with the system launch on June 5th, 2025. Just hours after the reveal we learned that the physical release will be on one 64 GB game card, and today brings us a bit more info on pricing and tech specs.
CD Projekt Red has confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition will be priced at $70, which probably isn’t all that surprising to anyone. Along with that, the developer confirmed that the game will have a special performance mode on Switch. Should you activate this mode, you should expect to see a framerate of 40fps when docked. The team says they’re currently targeting 1080p docked and 720p in handheld mode, and gamers can expect 30-40 fps depending on performance or quality mode.
On top of that, CD Projekt Red has also revealed that Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition is a port that’s being handled internally at the company. While that’s fantastic news, there’s one more tidbit even more impressive. According to their team, the build that’s playable at Switch Experience events is only 7 weeks old!
Last but not least, CD Projekt Red has also said that Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition on Switch 2 will be fully cross-progression compatible with versions from other platforms. In other words, you’ll be able to play the game on whatever platforms you currently have it for, save your progress, and then pick it up on Switch 2.
