The Last Of Us Part II Remastered Is Steam Deck Verified, Just Ahead Of PC Release
The Last Of Us Part II Remastered will be making its PC debut later this week, and just ahead of that launch Naughty Dog has confirmed that the game is officially Steam Deck verified.
Announcing the news through a post on X, complete with a graphic of the image players see when they launch the game on PS5, it’s good news for Steam Deck users, and potentially for players looking to jump into it on PC.
The game being Steam Deck verified is no guarantee that it should launch in a well-optimized state, and that it’ll run well on PC’s across the spectrum of its minimum to maximum requirements, and on Steam Deck devices, but it’s hopefully a sign pointing in that direction.
When The Last Of Us Part I came to PC, it was arguably the worst launch for any of PlayStation’s ports up to that point and even since then. It was riddled with issues and could barely run on even the beefiest of PC’s. It was also Steam Deck verified well after the release of the game on PC.
Hopefully, (since all we can do is hope), this launch doesn’t go in the same direction. Otherwise it’ll be another layer of complaints players will have, on top of the fact that they will once again need to have a PSN account to play the game on PC.
