Black Desert Console Is Transitioning To PS5 & Xbox Series X/S In June 2025, PS4 Support To End

Pearl Abyss has revealed in a post on the official Black Desert Console website that the game will be transitioning exclusively to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S in June 2025, which means support for the PS4 and Xbox One editions will be shutting down.

Support for last-generation systems is ending June 26 during a scheduled maintenance period, after which purchases of products related to the game, including packages, item packs and Pearl Boxes will be restricted on those for PS4 and Xbox One.

We understand that this news may be disappointing for our longtime Adventurers on these platforms. Please know that this decision was made after careful consideration, with the goal of ensuring the future growth and evolution of Black Desert Console.

Speaking in a video posted to the official website, the Black Desert Console general manager commented:

While there is a possibility of some schedule changes, depending on the certification status, if all process are completed smoothly, the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series versions will be available n June 26. As mentioned previously the update will be provided at no additional cost. We believe that the transition to a PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series exclusive service will be an important first step in providing a better gaming environment for Black Desert Console.
