Pure Nintendo Podcast E104 – Pure Nintendo
This week on the Pure Nintendo Podcast, Jemma and Kirk are joined by special guest Nick Cellini from Turtle Flip Studio to talk all about his debut Switch title, Which Way Up.
Last week, we discussed Chrono Trigger’s 30th anniversary. This week, we begin with our continuing countdown to the Switch 2 Direct. Nick provides some excellent insights from a developer’s perspective, while Kirk can focus more on Switch 2 now that Xenoblade Chronicles X is in his hands.
Meanwhile, Nick talks about his time as an indie dev with Turtle Flip Studio. Based in Sydney, Nick and his team have been working hard on their first title for the Nintendo Switch. We hear all about the ins and outs of the industry and game dev in general. Which Way Up is a party game for up to four local players and hits the Switch this week – on March 27 to be precise.
And, speaking of Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition, we dedicate plenty of time on this new version of the classic Wii U game. Kirk has dived in already and we talk about the action, gameplay, graphics, and overall improvements to this version. Did Kirk convince Nick to play it?
