Square Enix teases “various projects” to celebrate Chrono Trigger’s 30th anniversary

Chrono Trigger is easily one of the most beloved and celebrated RPGs in all of gaming. That adoration continues to pour out even though the game is now 3 decades old. As many fans look back incredibly fondly on the adventure, Square Enix has given those supporters reason to be extra excited.

In a message shared on their official social media account, Square Enix has recognized the 30th anniversary of Chrono Trigger. While it’s lovely to see the company recognize this classic, it’s what they tease for the future that will no doubt have fans speculating as to what’s next.

In particular, Square Enix has said that they “will be launching various projects that go beyond the world of the game over the next year.” The company is doing this in order to express their gratitude for all who’ve played the game so far. As to what exactly these “various projects” are…that remains to be seen.
