Cities Skylines II Is Still Coming To PS5, But It Won’t Be Out Before Summer 2025

Paradox Interactive has offered an update on the console versions of Cities: Skyline II, revealing it’s still on the horizon but won’t be with us before the summer.

We continue to make steady progress on the console version, and our core focus has been on further improving performance and stability. However, despite these advancements, we have more things we need to address before we reach the level of quality and the experience we want for you as our players.

We know many of you are eagerly awaiting the console release, but to set expectations clearly: we will not have a release before summer. We want to avoid any premature estimates and instead commit to providing you with reliable information when we’re closer to a launch-ready state.

Our goal remains unchanged: to bring Cities: Skylines II to console in the best possible shape.

Cities: Skylines II was originally released for the PC back in October 2023, and while the console version was meant to show up alongside the PC edition, it was delayed. The console release was later pencilled in for Spring 2024, although Cities: Skylines II was later pushed back to October 2024; it suffered one more delay to an as-yet unannounced date. Given this latest update though, we at least know not to expect it before summer.
