Nightdive Studios Quietly Uploaded A Native PS5 Version Of The Original Turok, Now Runs At 120FPS

After releasing remasters of all three original Turok games, starting with the first two games in 2021 and then Turok 3 in 2023, Nightdive Studios has quietly updated the first Turok game with a native PS5 update.

Beyond the bug fixes and general cleaning-up that comes with most patches these days, the big thing about the PS5 version for the original Turok is that if you have a TV that can support it, you’ll be able to play Turok at 120FPS now.

Interestingly, Nightdive hasn’t called out the update on its social channels or on its official website, though players on Reddit picked up on it. And if you already own the game on PS4, then you’ll be able to upgrade to this new version for free on PS5.

Fans are hoping that next on the docket to get an FPS boost will be Turok 2, and since Nightdive didn’t talk about Turok’s update, it might be worth just checking back in with Turok 2 on the PlayStation Store if you’re keen to play that at a higher refresh rate.
