Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket has surpassed 100 million downloads.
The title launched globally on October 30th, 2024 and quickly became a success after garnering 2m installs in its first 24 hours.
The milestone comes as DeNA released a new themed booster pack named Triumphant Light, which launches worldwide today.
To celebrate Pokémon Day, TCG Pocket is offering free special booster packs with rarity cards from February 27th to April 29th, 2025.
Special missions will also be available until March 26th, 2025. The developer also revealed that Ranked Matches will launch in March 2025, with more details to come.
New features on the way
“We would like to announce that Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket has reached over 100 million downloads worldwide,” said Pokémon TCG Pocket developer DeNA. “Thank you to everyone who has tried out the game.
“We are continuing to develop and operate the game so that everyone can enjoy it even more, and we plan to add Ranked Matches as well as continue adding more booster packs and holding a variety of events going forward.”
Pokémon TCG Pocket has surpassed $500m in lifetime revenue since launch in October, according to AppMagic estimates. After a slow period in late December, revenue surged with the Space-Time Smackdown event in January which led to earnings exceeding $10m in daily revenue for the first time.
