City Connection reveals Farland Saga I & II Saturn Tribute and Steam-Heart’s & Advanced Variable Geo Saturn Tribute for Switch (UPDATE)

City Connection has just announced a slew of titles for Switch, and they’re kicking things off with Farland Saga I & II Saturn Tribute, which will release in Japan sometime this year. This is a collection including Farland Saga, a story about a journey for coexistence between humans and demons while caught up in a war between three nations, and Farland Saga: Toki no Michishirube, the sequel set eight years later, which depicts the struggle and grand destiny of a novice adventurer.

Battles are turn-based with an isometric view, featuring numerous units on the field, both allies and enemies. As you progress through the story, you’ll be joined by a variety of unique characters, with whom you can enjoy lively conversations. Events also feature beautiful animated scenes.

New features include a guide function that displays easy-to-understand information during battle, such as items, magic, and both ally and enemy stats, as well as a function that doubles the experience points acquired.

Along with that comes the announcement of Steam-Heart’s & Advanced Variable Geo Saturn Tribute for Switch, which releases in Japan May 29th, 2025. There will be digital and physical releases, with a special limited edition offering a special box, bonus booklet and soundtrack CD for 8,800 yen.

This is a collection including Steam-Heart’s, a classic science-fiction shoot ’em up game known for its cute visuals, and Advanced Variable Geo, a fighting game also popular in the worlds of anime and comics. In addition to adjustments typical of Saturn Tribute ports, the collection also features a variety of options, such as “Save & Load” and “Rewind” functions, to support both long-time fans and new players alike.

UPDATE: City Connection has shared two new trailers for the games above, and you can watch them both below. The trailer for Farland Saga I & II Saturn Tribute also reveals a release date, announcing the game for a June 26th, 2025 launch in Japan.
