Bloober And Konami Will Continue To Work Together, Bloober Now Working A New Game Based On Konami’s IP
Bloober Team and Konami have announced that they will continue their collaboration, and work together on a new game, also based on one of Konami’s IP.
In a joint-statement on Bloober Team’s official website, both company’s confirm that they’ll work together on this new game, whatever it is, now that they’ve built some foundational trust after the success of Silent Hill 2 Remake.
“Our collaboration with Konami has been incredibly fruitful, and the success of Silent Hill 2 speaks for itself,” said Bloober chief executive officer, Piotr Babieno.
“By sharing knowledge and experience, we have been able to create high-quality production together. Of course, we can’t reveal too many details at this time, but we are confident that fans will be just as excited about our collaboration as we are. We can’t wait to share something truly special with players when the time is right.”
Regarding what Bloober Team could be working on, the obvious thought is that after the success of Silent Hill 2, they would move on to remake another Silent Hill game, or potentially work on a completely new entry, in collaboration with Konami.
Whatever it is, Bloober Team won the trust of Konami, and the trust of players, after Silent Hill 2 was far better than anyone expected. Bloober even declared it as the end to their era of “shitty games.” We can only hope.
