Rumour — Cliffhanger Games’ Black Panther Title To Feature Multiple Playable Characters & Dynamic Storytelling
The Black Panther title in development at Cliffhanger Games will feature multiple playable characters outside of T’Challa, according to leaker TheGhostOfHope.
Speaking on X, the leaker claimed that the likes of M’Baku, Azari, Shuri, Killmonger and more will be playable in Black Panther alongside T’Challa, with the game looking to ‘relocate authentic African Martial Arts’ mixed advanced tech and superhuman agility & strength.
TheGhostOfHope also reports that Black Panther will feature an over-the-shoulder perspective, with each character possessing unique weapons, armour and gadgets. Players are able to explore cities, savannahs and more while brushing shoulders with unique cultures and characters.

Finally, Cliffhanger Games’ Black Panther outing will reportedly see your actions and choices directly impacting the story, with “unique stories, missions & dynamics” mentioned. Keep in mind that none of this is official yet, so treat it as a rumour for the time being.
Electronic Arts first announced the single-player Black Panther game in July 2023, revealing the project is being developed in collaboration with Marvel Games. The project is being fronted by ex-Monolith Productions head Kevin Stephens, and also includes developers who worked on Halo Infinite, Call of Duty, and God of War. While further details are being kept under wraps, a job listing in April last year suggested the game will feature an open world setting.
