How do I get new Duet Night Abyss characters?
Duet Night Abyss is a gacha game, so you can only get new characters by pulling on the available banners – unless any are given for free during the story, or in events.
There are standard and limited banners for both characters and weapons. Each pull – known as a retrace – has a chance to get a three-star weapon, or a four- or five-star weapon or character. You’re guaranteed a four-star or above rarity pull every ten retraces. Maximum pity is 90.
Similar to other games like Genshin Impact, Honkai Star Rail, and Wuthering Waves, each pull costs 160 phoxene or one specific pull-related currency – in Duet Night Abyss, these are pristine and brilliant hourglasses. The pristine hourglasses are for the limited banners, while the brilliant are for the permanent standard banners.
