Elden Ring: Nightreign’s First Closed Network Test Session Riddled With Issues, FromSoftware Apologizes
If you were upset about not getting invited to join the Elden Ring: Nightreign closed network test, then you can at least take solace in the fact that you wouldn’t have woken up early this morning for nothing.
The first session for the network test kicked off at 3am PT on Friday morning, and while that wasn’t so bad for folks on one side of the world, plenty of players were up in the wee hours of the morning to get their first taste of Nightreign.
Which they got for a little while, until server issues cut the three-hour session short for PlayStation players. The servers then underwent maintenance, and by the time it was all said and done, so was the session.
Once it had passed, FromSoftware apologized on social media, and said that it will consider hosting an additional session, to make up for the first one being non-existent to some participants.
“We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the game server issues. Work is currently ongoing to improve the stability of the Network Test. An additional Network Test session is being considered. Thank you.”
Hopefully that additional session does get added. At time of writing there are three more sessions left throughout the weekend.
