Amazon Prime’s Secret Level Has Been Renewed For Season 2
Amazon Prime’s new show Secret Level is a different kind of game-to-TV adaptation. Rather than choosing just one franchise and turning a game from that series or the whole thing into a TV show, Secret Level picked 15, and adapted 15 popular game franchises into 15 short episodes.
And we mean short – the longest episode is only 20 minutes in length, with everything else tapping in somewhere between 15-10 minutes for a single episode.
The quality varies between each episode, but if you do land on the side of liking the show, then you’ll be happy to know it’s already been renewed for Season 2.
Confirmed by a report from Variety, it’s not entirely clear if Season 2 will look exactly like the first season in terms of length and episode structure, but it’ll be especially interesting to see if any of the game franchises used in the first season re-appear for this coming season.
If that’s the case then perhaps some of the narratives started in this first season could continue, though it might just be more likely that season 2 features a new stack of game adaptations.
Either way, it’ll be interesting to see how Secret Level evolves, since it’s arguably the most interesting game-to-TV adaptation out there in terms of its concept.
