The War Raiders React To WWE World Tag Team Title Win, Dakota Kai’s Message To Pure Fusion Collective

On this week’s episode of WWE RAW, The War Raiders (Erik and Ivar) defeated The Judgment Day (Finn Balor and JD McDonagh) to capture the WWE World Tag Team Championships with an assist from Damian Priest.

In a “Digital Exclusive” following the show, The War Raiders commented on their big win.

Ivar stated, “It’s been a long, long, hard, vicious, brutal, trying road. Not only the last five years, but our whole careers. The setbacks and the heartaches and the disappointments and the failures and the surgeries, just everything that we’ve been through, and to be here tonight, we’re in my hometown, we’re in Boston, with my family and my friends. To be here, it couldn’t be more emotional and just perfect for me, to know that the things that we did got us here today.”

Erik added, “There were points in the last five years, but also in the last ten years, where both of us were told more than once we’d never wrestle again. We might never walk again. I might not be able to hold my sons. Through all that, we’re still here. Through all that, we have these [titles]. I don’t think there’s anything that I could ever say to encapsulate what that means to us as performers, as professionals, or as people. Ezekiel, Cash boy, Papa did it.”

Also on this week’s episode of WWE RAW, the Pure Fusion Collective (Sonya Deville, Zoey Stark, and Shayna Baszler) attacked Kairi Sane backstage, leaving her status for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship Tournament Match uncertain.

In a “Digital Exclusive” segment following the show, Damage CTRL’s Dakota Kai and IYO SKY were asked about Sane’s condition. Kai responded that they had no update on Sane’s status. However, she did say the Pure Fusion Collective had crossed the line one too many times. She added that once Sane was ready, Damage CTRL would ensure that Pure Fusion Collective would be “put on the shelf.”
