Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance will have its servers shut down on February 24, 2025, publisher Wizards of the Coast has quietly announced.

The action-brawler aimed to bring the world of D&D to life by letting players step into the roles of iconic D&D characters with up to three friends joining them along the way.

Released in 2021, the online portion of the game will no longer be available to players early next year, announced on the game’s Steam page, but also through PlayStation’s Official News tab on PS5 console’s, as spotted by PSU’s own Garri Bagdasarov.

The announcement reads “We will be shutting down the Dark Alliance servers on February 24, 2025 at 9:00am PST. The base game and all DLC are still available to play in offline single player. Thank you for adventuring with us!”

There’s been no statement made however on the game’s Twitter account or Reddit page however, more broadly announcing the news to fans, at time of writing.

What the statement above also leaves out that the notice on the Steam page adds, is that Dark Alliance “will no longer be available to purchase starting that day.”

Though presumably it will be available to those who own it to re-download following the February date.
