Tessa Blanchard Addresses TNA Wrestling Contract Status, CMLL Departure As Reigning Title-Holder
Tessa Blanchard’s abrupt return to TNA Wrestling out of the blue this past weekend at TNA Final Resolution 2024 in Atlanta, GA. shocked the pro wrestling world.
Both in TNA Wrestling and outside of the company.
Following her return at the December 13 pay-per-view, where she attacked Jordynne Grace before getting physical with Gia Miller in a brief backstage interview afterwards, the women’s wrestling star spoke with Contralona for an interview.
During the discussion, Blanchard spoke about her CMLL departure, which included her leaving while still holding one-half of the women’s tag-team titles for the promotion.
“That was a tough decision for me because I have a lot of respect for CMLL and I love everything about that company,” she said. “They helped me a lot in helping getting in touch with other companies so I’m grateful for that. I am not signed with anyone, including TNA and CMLL.”
Blanchard would go on to make it clear that following her attack of “The Juggernaut” during her match with Rosemary this past weekend, she is zeroed in on securing an in-ring date with the former TNA Knockouts Champion.
“My eyes are now in Jordynne Grace because her locker room in TNA previously had my name on it with a lot of stories I had there,” Blanchard stated. “I see Grace’s career being in the up and up but I feel that if I was in TNA of all the past year, she would not have this success. That is why I wanted to return, because I wanted to prove this was still my locker room.”
She continued, “Right now, my goal is to get a singles match with Grace to prove who is the best wrestler in the world. I had a lot of matches against men, women and have always won multiple championships and tourneys so. I have a lot of confidence in my wrestling that I can say I am the best in the world.”
