Lords Of The Fallen Update 1.6.49 Improves Parry SFX, Adjusts Vigor Collection And More, Full Patch Notes Revealed

Lords of the Fallen has just gotten its latest update which brings a few frequently-asked-for fixes in Update 1.6.49.

A few of the key updates include an update to the feedback and sound effects that happen when players execute a successful parry, which is something the Hexworks team did based directly on community feedback.

Another fix based directly on community feedback is the fact that Vigor collection will happen automatically once you’ve defeated an enemy.

The other big change is the adjustment to the Exiled Stalker starting class, which now gives players the option to start with a “Light” playstyle.

You can check out the full patch notes below.

Lords of the Fallen PS5 Update 1.6.49 Patch Notes

Exiled Stalker Starting Class Adjustment:
The Exiled Stalker has been adjusted to provide players with a ‘Light’ playstyle option when selecting their starting class. While some players prefer a heavier, more powerful combat style (catered for with the Udirangr Warwolf, Hallowed Knight, and others), we realised that players preferring a more nimble approach to combat had more limited options. To that effect, the Exiled Stalker is now faster and more agile, better representing the original vision for the character.

Parry Feedback Sound Effect:
Based on community feedback, we’ve updated the parry sound effects to make them more satisfying and impactful, offering clearer audio cues when successfully parrying an enemy’s attack.

Vigor Pickup Adjustment:
Another popular community request, Vigor collection upon defeating enemies is now automatic, meaning you no longer need to manually collect it with the lamp. We noticed many players were either forfeiting hard-earned vigor, by simply forgetting to collect it, or felt the process disrupted the gameplay flow. We hope this now helps to streamline the game experience, allowing you to instead put more energy and focus into the battles ahead.

Byron’s Quest Update:
We’ve made adjustments to Byron’s optional questline, providing players with additional opportunities to encounter Winterberry, to help prevent scenarios where players could unknowingly fail to complete it.

Unbridled Focus Pendant Fix:
The Unbridled Focus pendant, which reduces the cost of Channeling and Aura abilities, now functions as intended. Thanks to fellow lampbearer, Syren Kindra, for bringing this bug to our attention!

The Hushed Saint Adjustment:
The Hushed Saint boss battle has been adjusted in accordance to player feedback, to provide a more dynamic and satisfying melee combat encounter, retaining the same degree of challenge but with less emphasis on mounted combat.

Poison Buildup Bug Fix:
Small bug fix ensuring poison buildup effect now works as intended.
