Call Of Duty 2027 Is Reportedly Being Developed By Sledgehammer Games
Sledgehammer Games is reportedly heading up 2027’s Call of Duty game, according to known series insider Ghost of Hope.
Speaking on X, the leaker revealed that Infinity Ward is heading up next year’s entry in the multi-million selling first-person shooter franchise, which he speculates is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. As for the identity of 2027’s game, Ghost of Hope states that the project isn’t a Year 2 Modern Warfare game like we saw with Modern Warfare 3, although said it’s possible it could be Advanced Warfare 2.

What I am hearing about Sledgehammer Games future with Call of Duty: Sledgehammer Games are currently slated to lead their own Call Of Duty in 2027. This comes after Infinity Ward’s game in 2026 which is presumably MW4.COD2027 is currently NOT a Year 2 Modern Warfare game like MWIII. Unclear as of yet if it’s possibly Advanced Warfare 2 or something new. Will update whenever that becomes clear.
Back in May, two dataminers shared details in Call of Duty 2026 and Call of Duty 2027, with the latter supposedly known as Project Devilwood and is set within the same timeline as Call of Duty Ghosts. As for Call of Duty 2027, the dataminers claim that it is being handled by Sledgehammer Games (just like Ghost of Hope) and will be a follow-up to Advanced Warfare.
This year’s franchise instalment, Call of Duty Black Ops 6, launched at the end of October and Activision stated overnight that it is the ‘biggest Call of Duty ever.’
