Nintendo’s E3 2001 trailers resurface in HD

If you’re feeling nostalgic, why not take a trip down memory lane with a look at Nintendo’s E3 trailers from 2001? YouTube channel Hard4Games has uncovered these trailers from a DVD originally included in Japanese magazine GameWave! DVD, and they’ve now reuploaded them in high definition. (Of course, the transfer still comes from a DVD, so don’t expect the quality to be too stellar.)

Included in this compilation are original trailers for several GameCube and Game Boy Advance games. Some of the featured games include Luigi’s Mansion, Pikmin, Metroid Prime, and Super Smash Bros. Melee. There’s even one trailer for the unfinished and unreleased Donkey Kong Racing.

You might have seen bits and pieces of these trailers before, but it’s great to have the full length versions all in one place and in higher quality. Watch the full compilation above and see if you can spot all the ways the final products differed from these trailers.
