No Man’s Sky Update 5.25 Adds Cross-Save, Fixes Rare Crash Bug On PS5 & PS4
No Man’s Sky has been patched by Hello Games, bringing with it support for the much-anticipated Cross-Save feature as well as eliminating another batch of pesky bugs. One of these issues is a rare crash bug for PlayStation consoles, which has now been fixed, while the Beachhead expedition has also kicked off for its two-week jaunt. No Man’s Sky is one of the few games that supports 8K resolution on the PS5 Pro, with the console having attracted a lot of praise from the game’s developer, with an engineer working on the title saying PS5 Pro ‘absolutely rocks.’ No Man’s Sky was originally released in August 2016 and has come a long way since release day, having been ported to numerous other platforms and receiving extensive content support from Hello Games.

- Cross-Save is now enabled for No Man’s Sky, allowing players to transfer save games between all platforms. This feature is being released as a limited beta with a restricted number of places, which will be increased in the coming weeks. All players are invited to read about the feature, and connect their platform accounts via the “Getting Started” link here.
- The Beachhead expedition begins today, and will run for two weeks. Alongside Priest Entity Nada, investigate mysterious fluctuations in history already written – and recruit the legendary SSV Normandy SR1 into your fleet.
- Fixed a crash related to loading Multi-Tools.
- Fixed a rare crash on PlayStation consoles.
- Fixed a memory crash on Xbox consoles.
- Fixed an issue preventing older PS4 saves from being loaded.
- Fixed a rare crash on Xbox when loading certain save games.
- Fixed an incorrect icon for the Grub Cocoon at the Quicksilver Synthesis Companion.
- Fixed incorrect icon and text in the Catalogue archive for The Cursed.
- Repositioned the save indicator on the main menu.
