Games group M-League has launched Blast+, a new publishing arm dedicated to bringing free-to-play games to India.

The publishing arm aims to boost both global and indie game developers to publish and scale their games across the growing Indian mobile games market. Blast+ estimates that by 2028 India will have 800 million mobile gamers and reach $5 billion in free-to-play revenue.

The Blast+ team comprises industry veterans with experience not only in the Indian games market but also in developing and producing mobile, console, and desktop titles from EA, Scopely, Riot, and others.

Growing markets

“Blast+ is here to empower both global and indie game developers to publish and scale their games in India’s booming mobile gaming market – one of the largest and fastest growing globally,” said M-League in a statement shared to Linkedin.

“With our deep local expertise and cost-effective solutions, Blast+ aims to be the bridge that helps developers reach Indian players and unlock new growth.”

Blast+ states it will offer localisation expertise, cost efficient solutions, marketing advice, as well as offering expertise in marketing, revenue strategy and live ops.

With a rising demand for free-to-play games in the Indian games market and mobile games accounting for almost 80% of total revenue, Blast+ will look to help developers engage with the market and unlock new growth potential.
