Rich Swann Set To Enter Rehab After Being Charged With Disorderly Conduct
Rich Swann is set to enter a substance abuse rehabilitation program following his recent arrest.
POST Wrestling reports that Swann’s arrest took place on June 8 in Altamonte Springs, FL. He faces charges of disorderly conduct and public intoxication, both misdemeanors.
The police report, filed by Zane Hoskins, describes an incident where Swann attempted to forcibly enter his apartment, banging on the door and shouting “this is my house.” Hoskins, who had a firearm, informed Swann of this, leading him to leave the scene.
Hoskins also reported that a woman claimed Swann followed her and tried to enter her apartment despite her attempts to stop him. She managed to get inside safely before Swann could follow.
When authorities located Swann nearby, he was described as “incoherent and appearing intoxicated.” Hoskins noted in the report that Swann admitted to consuming “a lot” of alcohol starting around 7 PM, just a few hours prior.
Hoskins further stated that Swann’s actions, while intoxicated, created disturbances and alarmed residents, prompting the charges.
This arrest follows a similar incident in September 2022, where Swann was charged with causing a disturbance at his apartment complex. At that time, he was ordered to pay a fine of $351.49.
TNA Wrestling, first informed of the incidents on Wednesday, issued a statement through POST Wrestling:
“TNA Wrestling takes any and all charges against its performers seriously. Rich Swann is responsible for his own personal actions.
“He has informed TNA Wrestling that he is voluntarily entering into a substance abuse rehabilitation program. TNA Wrestling has suspended Rich pending the completion of its investigation into the incidents.”
Swann had participated in TNA’s Against All Odds event on June 14, just six days after his arrest.
