Kirby x Yoshinoya collab sells out instantly, food chain issues statement

“If you can’t beat ‘em, eat ‘em” has been a tagline associated with Kirby in the past, but this may be the first time it’s this close to the real thing! Yoshinoya, a restaurant chain in Japan recently held a collab with Kirby which included things like Kirby themed bowls, and even a small collection of mini figures.

If that sounds enticing to you Kirby collectors out there, you’ll be sad to know that the chain recently published a statement saying that the entire collection sold out instantly! This isn’t the first time Nintendo or even Nintendo adjacent IP have sold out in this short of a time frame, but perhaps that speaks to the popularity of some of these characters, especially overseas.
