Valorant’s Open Beta Is Now Live On PS5

If you’ve been waiting to play Valorant on PS5 but have been unable to check in on its recent beta period, then no need to wait any longer.

Valorant’s open beta is now live on PS5 and other current-gen console platforms, and you can rush to your console to download it now yourself.

Riot announced the news with a simple post from the Valorant Twitter account that just said “no more codes. download now.”

Valorant coming to consoles is something that’s been asked for by console players for years now, and though there have been sly hints through job listings that Riot was planning on a console port, we didn’t get confirmation of its arrival until just last month, along with the news that there would be a limited beta.

If you’ve not played Valorant before due to its PC exclusivity, then you won’t realize how different the gameplay is. If you’re trying it out on consoles after having played it on PC, then you’ll see just how different things are.

The difference in how character abilities are handled and the tuning required for adjusting for a controller over mouse and keyboard controls are why there won’t be any crossplay support between consoles and PC.
