Remnant II Celebrates Its 1 Year Anniversary, Announces Third (And Final) DLC, The Dark Horizon, Will Arrive On PS5 This September

Remnant II launched on PS5 and other current-gen platforms one year ago today, on July 25, 2023, and to celebrate its 1-year anniversary, developer Gunfire Games confirmed that the games third and final DLC will arrive on PS5 and other platforms sometime in September 2024.

The news was revealed in a blog post on the game’s Steam page, where Gunfire says its goal for this DLC, titled The Dark Horizon, is for it to be “the most expansive DLC for Remnant II.”

Some Remnant II fans however may remember that Gunfire Games originally promised all three DLC expansions would release within the game’s first year, which technically makes this September release a delay.

Gunfire acknowledged that promise, and simply asked for patience from players so it can “deliver you the best possible experience that you deserve,” while also thanking players for their ongoing support.

“While we’re not happy about delaying this DLC release – one you’ve been itching to jump into already – we feel very lucky to see your ongoing support and loyalty to the Remnant franchise.

The past year has been nothing short of amazing, and we’re glad that Remnant II and its DLCs have brought you as much joy as it has brought us creating this world for you. That said, we’re not quite done yet, more news about The Dark Horizon DLC will come soon!”
