Tons Of New Info On Dragon Age: The Veilguard Revealed Following Gameplay Showcase

Dragon Age: The Veilguard is arguably one of the most anticipated RPGs, and after years of seeing very little of anything, in the span of days we went from a first reveal to a full-blown 20 minutes of gameplay.

On top of all that, we now have previews from those lucky enough to get a chance to play The Veilguard during Summer Game Fest 2024, which have revealed a lot of new details about the game, and what players can expect.

Like how The Veilguard is set to arrive sometime during Fall 2024 on PS5 and other current-gen platforms, where it’ll be targeting 60FPS for its performance and quality modes.

An important thing to note for some players: you won’t be required to sign into an EA account, and you can play the entire game offline. There also won’t be any micro-transactions.

Getting into the game now, you’ll be able to choose to play as a human, elf, dwarf or Qunari, and from there you can completely customize your character, pick your backstory, your class, and make decisions that’ll impact your own unique story within The Veilguard’s.

Speaking of the story, how you journey through it will be mission-based, you won’t be running through a great big open world, but rather traveling to specific places.

There will still however be more open areas to explore, the whole game just won’t be in this giant open-world.

Another important note for players, companions can be romanced and those you don’t choose to romance will develop relationships with each other. There will also be nudity, and intimate scenes with characters your romancing can get steamy.

Dragon Age had a run as one of the biggest RPG’s in the industry at its peak. The Veilguard will bring the series back after a full decade of being gone. There’s a lot riding on its shoulders.

From what we’ve seen so far though, it looks like The Veilguard could be the strong return the series needs.
