CD Projekt RED Issues A Cheeky Dig At Ubisoft’s ‘AAAA’ Label For Skull & Bones
Speaking during a Q&A following CD Projekt RED‘s latest financials, the Cyberpunk 2077 developer’s investor relations VP, Karolina Gnas took the time to make a sly dig at Ubisoft’s claims that Skull & Bones is an “AAAA” title.
When asked if CDPR would reassess its triple-A stance after Ubisoft’s recent comments about the pirate adventurer — which didn’t exactly set the world on fire when it launched in February after numerous delays — Gnas said that, “Ours will be AAAAA.”

Skull & Bones didn’t get off to a promising staff when it arrived on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S on February 16, amassing less than one million players including free trials and seeing a price cut of $25 just a few weeks after launch.
Still, CDPR is a bit cheeky for throwing shade at Ubisoft though, considering Cyberpunk 2077 launched with a ton of bugs for PS4 and Xbox One in December 2020, and took well over a year to be fixed up via numerous patches. It wasn’t until the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S version arrived that the game really achieved its ambition.
