Toys For Bob Has Reportedly ‘Reached An Agreement’ With Xbox On Its New Game

Last month, in a surprise announcement, the Crash Bandicoot and Spyro developer Toys for Bob revealed it would be “going indie” but would continue to “work closely” with Microsoft in the future.

Now, according to a new “exclusive” from Jez Corden of Windows Central, the two parties have apparently “reached an agreement” for a new game.

This information was reportedly shared at a recent townhall meeting, with Xbox’s game content division representative Matt Booty supposedly confirming the agreement, and mentioning how it would be similar to Toys for Bob’s previous games:

Jez Corden, Windows Central: During a recent townhall meeting described to us by sources familiar with the event….Matt Booty, now leading Xbox’s game content division, reportedly said that an agreement has now been reached between Xbox and Toys for Bob for their first game as an independent studio. However, he stopped short of describing exactly what it will be, although he did say something along the lines of, and I’m paraphrasing, “it will be similar to games Toys for Bob has made in the past.

Microsoft now owns Spyro and Crash Bandicoot, and Toys for Bob has already made some subtle references to Spryo in its independent announcement – asking fans to keep their “horns on” and eyes out for future announcements.
