Silent Hill 2 Remake Is Reportedly Targeting A Late 2024 Release Window

While Konami is keeping quiet on a Silent Hill 2 Remake release date, a GameStop advertisement for the upcoming psychological horror title indicates it will be out in late 2024.

Silent Hill 2 Remake was announced back in October 2022 during a special event hosted by Konami, but it would be over a year until we caught another glimpse at the game, this time during Sony’s January 2024 State of Play event. However, the resulting combat-focussed trailer didn’t go down well with fans, and developer Bloober Team admitted that the footage ‘does not reflect the spirit of the game.’

In February this year, the series producer said that Silent Hill 2 Remake was in the final stages of development, although with no official release date, we’ll just have to wait and see when it’ll turn up.

Silent Hill 2 was originally released for the PS2 in late 2001 and follows James Sunderland as he ventures to the foggy town after receiving from a letter from his wife, Mary. Problem is, Mary died three years ago, and Silent Hill is populated by grotesque creatures, including Pyramid Head, who stalks Jame throughout his journey.
