Max Payne 1 & 2 Remakes Have Similar Development Budget To Alan Wake 2, Remedy Confirms
Remedy has revealed during its latest financial press release that the upcoming Max Payne 1 & 2 Remakes have a similar budget to Alan Wake 2, which launched last October to critical acclaim.
Max Payne 1&2 Remake also continued in the production readiness stage. The team made considerable progress throughout the year. Max Payne 1&2 remake is going to be a major new game with great potential, enabled by a similar development budget as Alan Wake 2.
In addition, the studio also revealed that it expects Max Payne 1 & 2 Remakes to enter ‘the next stages of development’ during the first half of 2024.

Back in February, Remedy revealed that the Max Payne 1 & 2 Remakes have increased development pace, although right now there’s still no release date in mind yet. However, the studio expects the games to arrive at some point next year.
The original Max Payne was released for the PS2 and Xbox in 2002 following a PC debut the year before, while the sequel, Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne launched for PS2, PC, and Xbox in 2003.
