Silent Hill 2 Remake Has Been Rated In Korea
Bloober Team‘s Silent Hill 2 Remake has been rated in Korea, indicating a release date announcement may not be too far off.
While this is just speculation on our part, video game rating boards are usually a good indication of how close a game is to coming out, and usually it means they’re either not far off or at the very least a date is just around the corner. Konami has been ramping up its marketing for Silent Hill 2 Remake as of late, with a new trailer launching at Sony’s most recent State of Play event, although it didn’t exactly go down well with fans.

Silent Hill 2 Remake is now in the final stages of development according to the series’ producer, and Bloober Team’s president recently touched base on the latest trailer, saying it ‘does not reflect the spirit of the game.’
If you’re wondering what all the fuss is about, the trailer is very combat-heavy, which isn’t really what Silent Hill is all about; the series is more focussed on atmosphere and storytelling, perpetuating a feeling of dread and uneasiness in the player rather than forcing them into Resident Evil 4-style combat encounters.
Silent Hill 2 is currently in development for PS5 and PC with a release date yet to be announced.
