Sea Of Thieves Pre-Orders Now Live, Pre-Ordering Also Grants Access To Closed Beta Ahead Of Release This April

Sea Of Thieves is coming to PS5 on April 30, 2024, and will be the fourth of four previously Xbox console exclusive titles to come to PlayStation.

On Friday, developer Rare confirmed that pre-orders for the game are now live, with three edition tiers for which version of Sea Of Thieves players can purchase.

Bonuses players get for simply pre-ordering the game however are universal across each edition, and a key bonus is that all players who pre-order will be granted access to a closed beta for the game, April 15-19, 2024, just a touch more than two weeks before launch.

Players can pre-order a Standard edition at $39.99 USD, a Deluxe edition at $49.99 USD, and a Premium edition at $59.99 USD.

What the Standard edition gets you is all the free content Rare has released for the game since it’s beginnings, and all the content to come, along with access to the original soundtrack, an audiobook set within Sea Of Thieves and a digital guide book to help you get started.

The Deluxe edition includes all that, along with 10,000 premium currency, a sword, a gun, and full outfit, including hat, jacket, dress, pants and hook, the key to any good pirate look.

For purchasing the Premium edition, you’ll get all that, plus a dog, chiefly, and then some other cosmetics. But who cares about those, you get a dog in this edition to kick off your privateering.

You’ll also get the “Plunder Pass” for Season 19, and on top of closed beta access, players who pre-order the Premium edition will be able to jump into the game five days ahead of launch, on April 25, 2024.
