There Are Plans To Find WWE Raw A Temporary Broadcast Home Prior To Netflix Deal Kicking In
WWE Raw is in search of a temporary home.
Beginning in January 2025, WWE Raw is set to move to Netflix, marking the end of its run on the USA Network as of October 2024. However, there is a brief period between when the USA deal ends and when the Netflix deal begins, with many in the WWE Universe wondering where Raw would air in that time.
During a recent TKO Q4 2023 Earnings Call, TKO CFO Andrew Schleimer addressed the situation, affirming the company’s commitment to securing a temporary broadcasting platform for Raw during the last few months of 2024.
Schleimer expressed confidence that Raw would indeed find a home for the fourth quarter, but did not provide further specifics on potential platforms or arrangements.
We also intend to renew our license or find an alternate provider to carry Raw in the U.S. for the 90-day period from October 1, 2024 through December 31, 2024 before it moves to Netflix as described below. These domestic licenses together account for a very significant portion of our media segment revenues and profitability. No assurances can be provided as to the outcome of these negotiations and, if we are unable to renew existing agreements or find alternative streaming or distribution partners, our results of operations could be adversely impacted.
Elsewhere on the call, TKO President Mark Shapiro spoke about Vince McMahon. You can find out what he said here.
