Grounded Reportedly Fourth Xbox Game Coming To ‘Other Consoles’
Xbox’s business event revealed a total of four games would be coming to “other consoles” in the future. Two games are smaller titles and the other two are community-driven experiences. Hi-Fi RUSH and Sea Of Thieves along with Pentiment have already been rumoured, so what’s the fourth?
We’ve already heard Obsidian’s Grounded could potentially be it, and it seems more sources are now backing up these claims. Game File’s Stephen Totilo is confident this is the fourth title. Here’s what he had to say:
“Microsoft is not naming the games or platforms today, but Game File expects the four to be Rare’s 2020 multiplayer pirate game Sea of Thieves, Tango Gameworks’ 2023 rhythm-combat game Hi-Fi Rush, and two from Obsidian: 2022 medieval murder mystery Pentiment as well as the studio’s multiplayer survival adventure Grounded. All are from Microsoft’s first-party studios.”
Other outlets like the Japanese publication Famitsu have also shared the same list. Totilo isn’t quite as sure about which games will release on which platforms (Switch/PS5), but the announcements are apparently “not too far away”.
Grounded certainly matches up with Phil’s comments about at least a few of the games being “community-driven”. Like Sea of Thieves, Grounded has also been continually updated and its community would no doubt welcome a player boost. It’s already available on Game Pass as well, if you do want to play it right now.
Keep in mind there is no official confirmation from Xbox just yet. All that we do know is the line up won’t include Indiana Jones or Starfield.
