Remedy’s Latest Trademark Could Be The Title Of Its Upcoming Multiplayer Game
Coming off the critical success of Alan Wake 2, developer Remedy is looking to future projects, like Control 2 and a coming co-op multiplayer game.
Regarding the latter of those two projects, a recent trademark from Remedy spotted by RespawnFirst might have just revealed the title for what now seems to be a Control-based multiplayer game.
Remedy filed a trademark for FBC: Firebreak, two things that both have connections to the Control universe.
FBC being the shorthand for the Control’s setting, the Federal Bureau Of Control and a Firebreak being a kind of anomaly in Control that creates an area boundary.
Putting the two together, FBC: Firebreak sounds like an arena or closed-off boundary based game all within the Federal Bureau of Control.
That’s just some speculation given what we know about Remedy’s upcoming projects, but it could just as easily be something related to Control’s sequel yet to be revealed, or even DLC for Alan Wake 2.
It is at least safe to assume that FBC: Firebreak could likely only be an official title for one of its codenamed projects, it feels far too unique to be anything else.
Hopefully we’ll learn more about FBC: Firebreak and Remedy’s other upcoming projects soon.
