ISPs Now Sending DMCA Notices To Players Who Downloaded Leaked Marvel’s Wolverine
DMCA notices are now being issued by ISPs to players who downloaded the leaked version of Marvel’s Wolverine.
Insomniac Games was recently hacked by a ransomware group who obtained 1.3 million files from the Sony-owners studio, before releasing them to the dark web. The amount totalled over 1TB of data, among which included persona info from employees as well as an entire roster of upcoming titles from the developer.
Marvel’s Wolverine was also featured in the leak, and fully playable build of the game was soon made available to download. As this was obtained through illegal means, players who downloaded the game are now being hit with DMCA notices.
