Warner Bros. Pulls The Plug On ‘Coyote vs. Acme’ Film Starring John Cena
One of John Cena’s latest film projects will unfortunately not see the light of day.
The former 16-time world champion starred in ‘Coyote vs. Acme,’ a live-action hybrid featuring the famous Looney Tunes Character, Wile E. Coyote. The film was produced by James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy series, Super) and was directed by Dave Green (Earth To Echo). It has since been confirmed by Variety that Warner Bros. has pulled the film, which completed filming in 2022. A similar situation happened in Warner Bros. over a year ago when it pulled a completed Batgirl film as a tax write-off.
Cena recently wrestled at WWE Crown Jewel, where he was squashed by Solo Sikoa. This may be one of the Cenation Leader’s final matchups as the SAG-AFTRA strike coming to an end means he will most likely be returning to Hollywood soon.
