2023’s Potentially Worst Game Of The Year Skull Island: Rise Of Kong Reportedly Only Had A Year Of Development Time

Don’t let the high caliber of games releasing now fool you, there are bad games releasing across the industry every day, and Skull Island: Rise Of Kong has entered the fray to potentially be crowned the worst game of 2023.

A new report however sheds a little more light as to why Skull Island: Rise Of Kong released in the state that it did, mainly that the development team only had one year to make it.

Publisher GameMill Entertainment reportedly imposed strict restrictions around how long the team at IguanaBee had to complete the game, a member of the development team told The Verge.

“The development process of this game was started in June of last year and was aimed to end on June 2 this year. So one year development process.” said a developer at IguanaBee who remained anonymous.

According to the same developer the team at IguanaBee is talented, but due to the time constraints placed by GameMill on Skull Island’s development, they didn’t really have the chance to really showcase that.

After its release only days ago, Skull Island: Rise Of Kong is being called the worst game of 2023, even knocking Lord Of The Rings: Gollum off that same perch.
