The Last Of Us Part 2: Remastered May Have Just Been Confirmed

The Last Of Us is a game that’s been both remastered and remade, between The Last Of Us: Remastered on PS4 and the PS5 remake in The Last Of Us Part I.

Considering that precedent, fans have been wondering if Naughty Dog was also working on a remaster or remake for The Last Of Us Part II, at the very least a remaster to have a native PS5 version.

A Naughty Dog employee may have just confirmed that The Last Of Us Part 2: Remastered is in fact real, because lead outsource artist Mark Pajarillo listed “The Last Of Us Part 2: Remastered” on his LinkedIn page as a title he worked on.

Pajarillo has since removed it from his page, though not before screenshots were captured of it, as JoeMiller101 on Twitter did.

In defense of Pajarillo, he’s not the first one to seemingly let the cat out of the bag on the coming remaster.

That honor goes to composer Gustavo Santaolalla, who spoke about a new version of The Last Of Us Part 2 in an interview, and how he’s been added in the game as a character players can request songs from.

And now that The Last Of Us Part I has come to PC, this likely also means we’ll see The Last Of Us Part 2: Remastered make the same jump likely some time after it arrives on PS5, if Naughty Dog follow the same pattern from The Last Of Us Part I.
