Is Forza The Best Racing Franchise Of All Time?

As a ‘franchise’ with two distinct styles of Racing games – the much more Sim style with Motorsport and the more Arcade style Horizon, I would say its probably the ‘best’ right now as it caters to a ‘wider’ range of people – not just those who want a Sim or an Arcade Racer.

Burnout Paradise was one of my Favourite racers and I prefered Project Gotham and Rallisport Challenge to Forza Motorsport back on the OG/360 era consoles. I also enjoyed Motorstorm (Playstation) more than Sim racers. However, as those IP’s don’t really exist anymore, its really left Forza, and in particular, Playground’s ‘Horizon’ games as my favourite ‘current’ Racing IP.

I’m sure that if you were to ask someone who is very much into the Sim style, especially those who may also have real world experience of racing, they may have a completely different opinion when it comes to having the most accurate ‘simulation’, but I prefer more Arcade style and the more ‘sim’ they get, the less I want to play…
