This week on the Pure Nintendo Podcast, Kirk and Jemma talk about the latest from the world of Nintendo, from Charles Martinet to LEGO demos, and everything in between.
Last week we discussed all thing Super Mario Bros. Wonder. This week kicks off with another look at Charles Martinet, the voice of Mario, who featured in a short video from Nintendo this week to discuss his new role as Mario Ambassador. Will Jemma get to meet him at PAX AU in October?
Speaking of Mario, we also recap recent Mario-centric Direct by talking about the new OLED Switch model set to release ahead of Super Mario Bros. Wonder. Jemma is on the fence about this one, should she upgrade with this exciting red edition?
Meanwhile, LEGO 2K Drive has been out a few months now, but a new demo has hit the Nintendo Switch eShop just recently. We specualte the reason behind this late addition, which Jemma has checked out. She gives her impression of the game during this first look. Next question for Jemma: should she purchase the full game?
We also talk about the games we’re playing right now, including Marble It Up! Ultra, Paper.io, Scarlet Hood and the Wicked Woods, and Tears of the Kingdom – yes, we’re back in the kingdom of Hyrule, baby!
