PS Studios Sound Design Director Says Spider-Man 2 Is Insomniac Games’ Best Work Yet
PlayStation Studios Sound Design Director, Jeremie Voillot, has head praised on the sound team at Insomniac Games, stating he feels Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is their best work yet. He made the shoutout to the audio team in his LinkedIn post below:
Just want to take a minute to shout out the amazing audio team at Insomniac – such a wonderful and talented group of humans to get to work alongside. I’m not sure the world is quite prepared for what they are about to release upon it – it’s stunning, and in my humble opinion, their best work yet. Good luck getting to the finish line!
This is fantastic to read, as one of the developers at Insomniac said they were working to make this their best game yet for PS5. Voillot himself has worked as sound design director for PlayStation Studios for some time now, having been involved with games such as God of War: Ragnarok, Ghost of Tsushima, The Last Of Us Part II, Marvel’s Spider-Man Miles Morales and more.
Based on his experience, if he’s saying Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is Insomniac’s best work yet, we’ve every reason to believe him. Indeed, the sequel is already looking to be a solid Game of the Year contender ahead of its launch on October 20, 2023.
