Killing Floor 3 Dev Wants To Limit Microtransactions To Cosmetic Items, Is Still In Early Stages Of Production

Killing Floor 3 Creative Director, Bryan Wynia, has revealed during an interview with PCGamesN that monetisation for the upcoming shooter will be limited to cosmetic items only, and that the game is still in the early stages of development.
Wynia explained that the development team at Tripwire Interactive want to βlearn from some things that players are enjoying right nowβ and ensure Killing Floor 3 doesnβt become βpay to win.β The team wants to keep micro transactions a βcosmetic-only driven system,β adding βwhen you look at how weβve updated Killing Floor 2, there have been a lot of times like maps have been free.β
βThatβs something we want to continue to explore at this time,β he continued, before making it clear that βitβs still early in developmentβ and therefore βweβre still figuring out our monetisation plan.β However, Wynia assured fans that they βwant to do something that is classic Killing Floor and elevating what games as a service isβ so as to have it βfit within our brand and in our franchise.β
