People Can Fly Confirms Opening Of New Montreal Office, Will Work On Just Cause 3 Director’s Triple-A Project
Bulletstorm developer People Can Fly has opened up a new office based in Montreal, Canada, where it will work on the new triple-A project helped by Just Cause 3 director Roland Lesterlin.
The studio itself had quietly opened last year but is now expanding the team, hence the public announcement. The new project in question is being headed by up in People Can Flyβs New York City office, with Lesterlin and David Grijns. Not much is known on the game right now, but itβs billed as a βhighly ambitious, groundbreaking action-adventure title.β
We have launched our Montreal start-up studio last year as a part of PCFβs North American team, thatβs working on People Can Flyβs new triple-A project led by David Grijns and Roland Lesterlin from our New York office. Montrealβs amazing atmosphere and well-seasoned gamedev industry make this project extremely exciting for us. We believe that PCF Montreal will soon play a major role in our studiosβ portfolio.

People Can Fly is juggling many plates right now, as itβs not only working on the project mentioned above, but also Project Gemini with Square Enix, Project Dagger with Take-Two Interactive, and the self-published offering known as Bifrost.
The studioβs most recent title is Outriders, which launched for PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One in 2021, and despite receiving strong reviews from critics (you can see our own verdict here), the game failed to make a profit as of March 2023.
