New ‘Afterplace’ Update Adds Frame Rate Options, Haptic Feedback, and More – TouchArcade

New ‘Afterplace’ Update Adds Frame Rate Options, Haptic Feedback, and More – TouchArcade Evan Kice’s open world adventure Zelda-inspired experience Afterplace ($6.99) just got updated to bring in haptic feedback, support for either 30fps or 60fps gameplay, and various fixes. I’m a big fan of haptic feedback on iOS just like I am with how certain games like Final Fantasy 16 handle it on the PS5 DualSense controller, so it is good to see a game I like a lot on iOS implement the feature. You can toggle this on or off, and can also change the frame rate target from the settings or leave it at the default if you don’t care. The fixes in the update include one for an npc duplication bug, one for players getting trapped in a cave, and nightmare beasts not following players between areas. Apple recently awarded it an Apple Design Award at WWDC 2023. If you’ve not gotten it yet, check out the official website here. You can buy Afterplace on the App Store for iOS here and on Google Play for Android here. Apple also did a feature on the design of Afterplace in an interview with Evan. Read it here. This is just one of the few welcome updates that have improved the game quite a bit since launch. Have you played Afterplace yet on iOS or Android?
