What Are You Playing This Weekend? (July 1-2)

It’s time for the weekend! If you’re looking for things to do over the next couple of days, we’ve got plenty of new Xbox Game Pass titles, various new releases including AEW: Fight Forever and Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life, and another massive range of deals on the Xbox Store for hundreds of great games.

Here’s what we’re playing this weekend:

Following our review of AEW: Fight Forever this week, I’m keen to continue playing more of the Road to Elite career mode as well as plenty of online matches, and I might even dip back into WWE 2K23 alongside it — let’s just make it a wrestling-filled weekend! Wrestling Empire is waiting for me on the Switch as well…

I’m also keen to get back into FIFA 23 on Xbox Game Pass this weekend due to the new Women’s World Cup mode that’s just been added. I don’t really like FIFA 23’s gameplay all that much, but I’m planning on tinkering with the very popular Operation Sports Community Sliders to see if I can get it playing more realistically than the default settings.

Have a good weekend, folks!

Craig Reid, Video Producer

Ahoy folks! I’ll be honest, I’m having a tough time keeping away from Final Fantasy XVI on the PS5. However, this weekend I’ll be travelling to the Lands Between. Aye, it’s an Elden Ring weekend for me!

I decided that having a Steam version of the game wasn’t good enough and purchased my second copy of “tarnished pain simulator”, this time for Xbox – I’m in it for the cheevos!

Hope you all have a lovely weekend. Happy gaming!

Okay, so the thing is… I’m not going to be playing a great deal of Xbox this weekend due to a little game called Final Fantasy XVI. It’s good, folks. Like, real good. That said, I’ve been slowly plugging away at Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain over the last month or so, so I might jump back in if I get the chance. It’s a good one to dive back into from time to time, complete a few missions, fulton a few goats, the usual.
