This latest update comes following news that development of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is progressing smoothly, and that the team are working on nailing down a release date for the highly anticipated follow-up.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is the second instalment in the ongoing Final Fantasy VII Remake project, and takes place following Cloud and co’s exploits in Midgar. Square Enix hasn’t committed to a full release date yet, but has confirmed it will launch in Winter 2023.
