Plaion Has Announced It Will Re-Structure And Merge Deep Silver, Prime Matter And Ravenscourt

Game publisher Plaion has announced that it will restructure three of its studios and bring them all under one brand, merging Deep Silver, Prime Matter and Ravenscourt.

This process will reportedly happen over the course of a year, and that things won’t be changing immediately.

A representative for Plaion told GamesIndustry.Biz that this decision was done as an aspect of “simplifying our publishing operations,” and that though layoffs are planned it will only be affecting a handful of positions.

Hopefully that does end up being the case, and that any layoffs are as minimal as possible, or ideally avoided entirely.

Once the restructuring process has run its course, projects currently underway with Prime Matter, Deep Silver and Ravenscourt will be published under Plaion, though we will still see projects in the future short-term bearing Prime Matter, Ravenscourt or Deep Silver as their publisher.

Most recently, Deep Silver released the long-awaited Dead Island 2.
